Default RE: New DX7 fails range check...

I agree that thereare preferences when it comes to Futaba/Spectrum, kind of like those with Ford/Chevy. I own a Futaba 7C, and thought really hard about the DX7 before I made my purchase (I liked that I could fly the micro stuff with this TX in the bind-n-fly versions). Reading the forum, and talking to people, those that fly Futaba 2.4gz had nothing but great things to say. This is not the case with the Spectrum stuff. The guy who helped get me started used to fly Spectrum, and crashed some very expensivejets/planes due todifferent issues with Spectrum. This is a guy that really knows his stuff, and I would consider himan expert flyer with over 10yrs of experience. He told me that he wouldNEVER buy another Spectrum, and told me to go with Futaba. He has yet to have an issue with Futaba, and neither have I. The proof isin the pudding, no matterhow you slice it. It seems that I read a post every few weeks/months about something Spectrum related (crashes, range tests, sync issues), but don't hear about these with Futaba. So, either those that have issues with Futaba don't post about them, or they aren't having problems.
