The dot issue has been going on before the advent of 2.4Ghz, I have 147IP's with silver dots on them and before that I think it was the DP series of 1024 PCM that had various colour dots appering on them now and again.</p>

The thought occurs to me that if Futaba has been using dots on their receiver
all along I cant see how Hobbico being the repair center could not know
about the dots and what they mean.
