Default RE: Which engine? Goldberg Cub

ORIGINAL: dmastax1x

Hi guys i just purchased a clipped wing Goldberg Cub (76" wingspan) and need some help deciding what engine to put in it. I have an evolution .46NX and OS55AX both with pitts mufflers. Those are both alrite and all and probably fit the cowl nice but i was thinking of a small 20CC gasser as an option as well. I don't really want all that much power but i love the idea of a gas engine (although i havent used one yet). NItro engines are just too fidgety for me as well. Would a Zenoah 20CC, RGFC20cc, or even an FLT26cc be good for or just way too much power/weight for a 76" piper cub? Anyone else have this model that can tell me about their setup? Thanks in advance.

Dave

Dave, even the 20cc engine is way too large for the Goldberg Cub. To use the 20cc to 26cc gas engines, you need to move up to the World Models 1/4 scale models. They will accept the small gas engines you are considering with ease.
