Good advice, I agree with you on the larger prop being better for downline braking. This plane does fly light, and I didn't notice a need for slower downlines. His build seems to fly very light, and therefore slow. He is using a lighter motor, and a BEC instead of a RX pack so the light weight may have something to do with the downline speed. With the battery setup we were using, we had no problem getting the right CG with the Scorpion. I don't know what servos he was using, they were Hitec digitals, but I don't know the model numbers. </p>
I guess you never know if you would like it better, until you fly it in that configuration, so you may be right about the Hacker setup. At this point all I know is that his setup seemed to work well.</p>
