RE: Z bend
If you ask me, they are cheap enough to just use only once. What's the gamble? Use twice and chance a critical control surface becomming uncontrollable?

I have a small box full of the darned things. I just grab one and use it. If I have to take the thing apart, I throw the first one away and use a new one. Cheap insurance.

I used Z bends for a very short time but found that the Z bend was not perpendicular and, to my observation, may cause a bit of a bind in the linkage to the control. For the most part, they went on the servo arm. A possibility is that they wear into the servo arm hole, enlarging it a bit, which causes slop. Not detremental, but it could create poor resolution at best, and flutter at worst.

Again, this is just my opinion and my justification to not use them or to use something different, like a 90 bend with the EZ link connectors I mentioned in my prevoius post.
