RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300-EXP 48
Done! But not maidened, yet. I started yesterday around 1pm and was finished around 7pm with interruptions. However, when I say done then I mean: adjusted the servo throws, setup dual rates, made sure the CG is okay (and even put the stickers on :-) ). Above you can see photos of the box and the finished product. I was gonna work on it over a few days and I was going to put up pictures of the progress, but since I decided to work on the plane instead of going flying, I finished it in one go.
All the electronics are as per Extreme Flight recommendations: Hitec 65MG, Airboss 45 amp ESC, Torque motor (the one with the 820 or so KV) and Thunderpower 2100mAh 4 cell battery (I got 2 of them and I got 2 EON Flightpower 2450mAh or so, those are going to be for windy days). I'll buy Zippies if I need more batteries.
It came together really well. This is my first electric where the motor was simple bolt on. The firewall has blindnuts installed. No drilling, no nothing necessary. Just put in the screws and you're done. The control linkage is also simple, except I had to scuff the carbon fiber rods a lot to be able to fit them in the ball linkages.
I'll put in another post after the maiden.
