RE: Removal of clips from connectors
I've had success in removing these pins from the body of the connector by selecting a piece of brass tubing that just fits over the body of the connector pin. Push it down over the connector and it will depress the locking tab so you can pull the wire out of the rear end of the connector shell. You can buy an extractor for each type of connector but I'd have to search for a source. Most probably the manufacturer of the connector can tell you where to get one or may even give you one if you ask.
