This is how the ARF's bolt on wing is done.

Notice for the Kadet LT-40 in the first pic how far forward the nylon bolts are from the trailing edge of the wing. On the wing itself the holes C/L is roughly 3/4" from the rear of the wings trailing edge and still in somewhat in a thin area. I bet Ken could explain this much better than I can. I wouldn't try that Du-Bro kit in all honesty. I would double up two layers of ply with 1/4x20 blind nuts set at the wings angle thing, incidence. <sp> Use 30 minute epoxy.

This other pic is what Ill be doing, or trying to do to strengthen up the landing gear. The stock set up is a little springy with a heavy 4-stroke. With a .40-.46 2 stroke, the stock set up might be ok with a 10" prop, but with the added weight and a larger prop like the 11x7s I have been ruuning, I have been through 4 props in 11 flights. Also, my plane needs more prop. The engine revs up quick and the plane responds kinda slow. I got some 15x5 mas K series that I will try after installing the "lift kit" on the plane. The lift kit will be 1 1/2" taller and using different tires. The Du-bro anti bounce lead-sled kind. Most likely, very heavy. I havent weighed anything yet but my guess is I will be adding probably another 3-4 ounces. For the experianced light weight plane builders, this set up wouldnt be thier first choiceI bet. lol Not even sure itll work yet.

Most likely Ill have to move the battery pretty far to the rear to make up for the extra added weight up front but hopefully Ill gain alot stronger landing gear as I am a noob and will land pretty hard at times.
