Default I solo'd my plane

Just posting some thoughts on my recent solo and learning experience. I also wanted to praise my trainer set-up.

First off, I can't say enough good things about my tower hobbies trainer 60 with tower .61 engine. I almost purchased a .40 sized trainer but was talked into spending the extra few bucks for the bigger one. I am so glad that I did. The bigger size and more powerful engine is definately nice to have. My first couple flights were flown on some pretty windy days when some of the club veterans wouldn't even fly. My big tower trainer handles fairly brisk wind without even flinching.

In addition, this trainer is actually very fun to fly. Its does loops, double aileron rolls, hammerheads, tail slides, and many other basic moves. Last night I even flew around inverted for 10 MINUTES! All this and I have only been out flying 5 nights.

Granted it isn't the coolest looking plane and the stick on covering is cheap, but who cares-- it is a trainer, and it was only $90.

Last night, I ordered my first low wing plane- the tower voyager ARF for $80. Can't beat that. I will post some more ramblings once I get that one flying.
