I solo'd my plane
I spent a lot of time on a G2 sim. and the first day I had someone look at my plane to check it over and we flew it on a buddy cord the first day. On the 3rd flight on the first day, I flew it myself from takeoff to landing but I was still connected to the buddy cord so I don't really count that as my first solo because of the safety net/buddy cord.
The next week I went to fly again and the 2 other guys that offered to buddy up with me , My plane crashed with both of them. I didn't take controls for 1 second. There was some strange glitch in my plane. Still not 100% sure what it was .It kept veering hard to the right. What ever it was, Rebuilding it from the firewall forward musta fixed it. Last week, I brought it to the field and had 2 guys check it over very thoroughly. No problems. I had them each try flying it and they said it flew fine. So.... I filled it up, Fired it up, took off flew it around and landed it totally myself. There are some great guys at our field. One of the guys that helped me last tuesday is the same guy that my plane crashed into the second night. He was standing behind a fence and my plane hit the pole and swung aroung and hit him in the knee. His plane was still flying so he couldn't hold his knee until he landed his plane. oh well, Happy flying. It's easy if you move the little sticks the right way. :-)
