Default RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!

Hello Jay,

I am going to back up just a bit. I call my Blade 400 heli's 401, 402, 403.

Last Friday I took 402 who dropped out of the sky the first time about a month ago after 30 seconds at the Park. A guys was flying EDF I think they are called, an induction fan jet. So I thought even with 2.4 gh that he might have jammed me for a moment. Later that day I found he was FM.

A week later I am flying at my 100 acre bankrupt future housing site. Itake up 402 now with nothing done thinking while at the Park, well that was an anomaly. I am flying wide open across the horizon and then then motor stops and she goes in hard but horizontally scattering parts along the way from the speed she was at.

Now Iknow there is a problem, DUH. So I installed a new ESC and I half rebuilt the framewith CAglue, tape and zip tiesand did a hover in the back yard for a full pack and half, no problems. So the next day I go to the Park and she is hovering for a 30 seconds and I lift her up 15-20 feet and the motor stops and I auto down. I come home replace f-shaft and install a new motor hovered, shoot-outs 2 full packs in the back yard, andagain no problems and figured "I gotcha now baby"! and set her on the shelf.

Then a day later we went back out to the open construction site. Itook 402 out and hovered for a sec and then took her up and again 15-20 feet the motor shuts off and I auto down with a bent f-shaft again. So I then go the pick-up and take out 401 and send her off to fly without issue until as I brought her in about 6 feet off the ground Ihear this screeeeeeech and the motor FROZEN and locked up (3rd time in 1.5 years this has happend) and down she came "without" any damage at all......................like you said I am getting good on auto lol. So the next day I took out the seized motor and set it aside and then took the motor that "I" thought was questionable on 402 and slapped that into 401 and flew the living crap out of it on Monday, yesterday for three full HARD packs in idle-up without issue. So that only reconfirms that when it was in 402 that was never the problem that makes her fall.

So my thinking is, we have the revceiver a Spectrum AR6100E version 1.6 which it the latest they have and we have the DX6i which is NOT in the recall catagory. So either there is a problem with the receiver, or perhaps there is a corrupted "model copy" in the transmitter, Idont know how but??.

After this issue of Spectrums receivers came to light thre weeks ago that the 1.2 "can" drop out under brown out and take much longer to re-connect they upgraded their receivers to correct this problem withnew FIRMWARE and put stickies on the receviers that read 1.6. So I when through all of my fliers and found Ihad three of those 1.2s. So I packed them up and sent them to Horizon to be updated. Right now Iam flying 401 on Lookyj's borrowed AR6100E so I will not try that in 401, but rather wait for my receivers to come back from re-programming.

Sorry for the long story, but it what it is.............

Sorry your work has slowed down to, drywall right? or over all construction?

My service calls for home repairs, elec, drywall, gates, fences, etc are down to"A" call every two weeks. Makes me feel blessed and glad that I do it for fun and to keep the old bones loose and the brain sharpsince Iam retired. I do feel for you youngsters still trying to put grub on the dinner table in today economy.
