this won't be much of a project but I have a sheet of 5/8 plywood that I've notched to fit different engines. I just use wood screws to secure them. I have a loose tank for running in engines that is secured by four wood screws.(one on each corner) and I use a junk RX and TX donated from a throw away RTF. I have a servo mounted with two sided tape for the throttle. not very complex but it works nicely.
