RE: Ultracote & Monocote
I would try re-heating the side you want the wood to move TWARDS first....
Idea is to pull the wood back by shrinking thcovering.........
Only reason I have used MK in the past has been due to having a ARFcovered already, and Iwanted the covering to match....
I love the looks of mK and but it can bee such a hastle...
More I think of it, ORACOTe/Ultrakote gets my vote........
Other drawback ot Ultracote is that they STOPEDTHEproducting of there MATCHINGPAINTS!!!!!
SO if you expect to cover a part of a plane and then want to spray paint the pants and cowl with there paint,,,good luck matching it up..
Some clain that there hardware store can match it and put in in a aerisol can.fot MUCHOMONEY, but I ahvint seen tat ovffered....
I would only Use automotive spraypaint, like PPG/OMMNI....Far as Iknow, they don't have a paint match machine.....
