Default RE: Extreme Flight Extra 300-EXP 48

I finished mine. Since I usually only fly gas and only have the Little Bangee electric, some questions. I didn't go for the combo setup and in stead I got myself 3 2650mah Zippy batteries, Turnigy 40A controller and Turnigy SK 35-42 1000kV motor.

With the battery all the way up front, I got the CG 1/8" behind the center of the wing tube. Is this gonna work out fine or will it be tail heavy? I like my planes to be close to being tail heavy. With the big battery the plane weighs in at 47-1/2oz.

Also, I ran a few batteries with a Xoar 12x7E prop. Everything seems to work fine but the motor gets really hot and smells after 30 secs+ full throttle. Is this normal? I guess the motor is about 60 degrees Celsius after the full throttle run. The battery is warm and the controller slightly hot. I tried low, medium and high timing mode and I get the impression I get much longer run times in high timing mode. Can someone please confirm?

And I haven't used any of the included EZ connectors. These create a big load on the arms. See image 3 for how far the arms are out of line.
