Okay. My motor has 820kv, which means it spins slower than your 1000kv motor. I'm using a 12x6 prop, you're using a 12x7 prop. That means you're definitely over propped! My motor and ESC have ambient temperature after a flight like the one in the video above, and the performance is very satisfying. I'd definitely try a 12x6 if I were you.

As far as CG: My CG is also aft. I have to move the battery all the way in the front to get the CG right (neutral). To do 3D stuff, I move the battery an inch from the front for slightly aft CG.
