Nice to see you have it flying - so what's your opinion ?

Hey, does anyone have the current Tower Hobbies discount codes ? I need about $90 worth of stuff for my plane and all I can see is the $25 off $199 offer. I can pad it a bit (to $100) but not all the way to $200.

Thanks,
Craig.

This plane is unbelievable. It tracks, I haven't experienced anything like it. This is the first time that I point a plane straight up, give full aileron, and it just goes straight up like a rocket, rolling like crazy. I did 2 flights and did mostly sport flying stuff, because it's so friggin' enjoyable. Knife edge is out of this world. Again, this is the first time that I'm doing knife edge with rudder input only, no elevator and aileron input necessary (I put the SFGs on). It blew my mind. Flipping it on it's back with only a little bit of up elevator, it's so confidence inspiring. Elevator with no throttle is awesome. Just a bit of wing rock, but that's because it was windy (10mph, I'd say) and our field has lots of turbulence (buildings, trees, etc.). Inverted elevator, even better.

I did some upright harriers, but those were wobbly (wind) and it always takes me a few flights with a new plane to get harriers done nicely.

Landing was very easy. I did 2 flights and had no issues. Set it up with some power and then cut the throttle and flared it in. That's it.

This plane floats, it looks unreal. I did some very slow fly-by, short of harriering and it was REALLY slow.

One more thing: The Torque motor (the bigger one, with the 820kv) and the 45 amp Airboss ESC with the 12x6E APC prop as recommended for this plane, works really well. Ballistic performance. During those 2 flights I never even hit full throttle. It goes vertically up with no end. It just keeps accelerating.

In other words, I'm quite happy with my purchase! :-)
