Okay. My motor has 820kv, which means it spins slower than your 1000kv motor. I'm using a 12x6 prop, you're using a 12x7 prop. That means you're definitely over propped! My motor and ESC have ambient temperature after a flight like the one in the video above, and the performance is very satisfying. I'd definitely try a 12x6 if I were you.
The motor I have is rated 605W, the Torque about 500W. I like the looks of the Xoar props so I'll order some 11x7E, 7 pitch is all they have, and I'll get an APC 12x6E at the LHS for the time-being.
