Default RE: Giving up on E-flight

Hello,

Let me tell you a short story. This is not opinion, but fact. At the end of this letter you will se emy credit sas to what helicopters and plane I own.

My friend got as a noob for his first heli a CX3 a month ago. He tried and tried to fly it without success. So I went over there and with my two years of experiece I could barely handle itas it had deep problems. He had gone inside and tried to make adjusts so I had to take the heli down 100% soI would know it was right. When done it would not fly worth crap. He took it back to the hobby shop where he bought and brought home another brand new one n the factory box. It to he said did not seem right. So again I went over and checked it out but...........I took my CX2 to let him try to fly that. While I looked at the second new CX3 it had all ofthe same problems you have and HE was flying my CX2 around the house. IMPORTANT: He was ready to give up as you are , but after flying my CX2 (stock) he said; I can fly! So the next day he took the second CX3 back to the hobby shop and DEMANDED a CX2. Since then he has been a happy camper AND he bought a G4.5 simulator a real must in this hobby. Now I will sharea secret about adjusting the pots. EACH TIME you do that you do not want to adjust the gyro but rather the proportional and HINT each time you make the small adjustment the battery MUSTBEOFF then reconnected each time you do that. If not your adjustments won't register. If you want to try one last time, disconnet the battery and take both pots and set them in the middle and go from there but again that is good for the gyro, in the middle then make sure all trims are centered per your book turn the pot to stop to nose drift. Go slow it takes time and you only tuen the pot 1/32 inch per time(small adjustments)! If you cannotget this work, call HH and tell them how UNSATISFIED YOU ARE AND DEMAND A CX2 as a replacement and be sure to mention you just got your Blade 400.

Now re the Blade 400. It is a great starter heli and the transmitter is just tops, it is a great valueBUT it is not a T-Rex by any means. Now I have three Blade 400's and two T-Rex's and I will tell you that you will have to change out the servos pretty much from the start on the 400, it is their week spot. If you bump anything, they will strip and then you are rebuilding them over and over and over. Most of us moved to Hitec or JR servos which start at $120.00, Iused the Hitec 65 with metal gears. I am telling you this so you wont be disappointed later. Again Ihave three of them fly the living crap out of them and they perform well ....but they are not a Trex 450 forsure. Go look at the prices of T-Rex 450, then add another $200.00 for them to build it for you, then add and another $200.00 for a radio. When you look at the total price package difference you will have sticker shock BUT if you have the funds then go with the T-Rex from the get go. If not the Blade 400 is a great heli in its own right.

I hope some honest facts have helped and if you need more information feel free to send me a PM
