RE: New e-Flite CP Pro 2
gi1mo- Good luck with your new heli! After my last CP Pro 2 crash I decided to give it up and opted to buy a new Align TRex450 Pro. All Ican say is that I crashed every single flight (hover)with my beloved CPP2, even with training gear on. I just never could get it what I'd call stable. Now, after21 successful hovers, with no landing gear on any of them, I am ready to move onto nose-in hovers and basic forward flight. The 450 Procan be madethat stable! I really love and appreciate that the CP Pro 2 got me into this hobby, but it nearly took me out too, since I spent more on repairing it than the 450 Pro costs. But I sure learned a lot of the basics of helicopter building and repair from the CPP2 too, so all is not lost.
As far as the sudden movements you are experiencing, I noticed some of that action with my CPP2 also. I just wonder if there is some flexure in the construction which we can't see really well, and the heli takes off into an unanticipated direction because of it. I could easily flex the head area of my heli, so despite all the concentration on perfect setup, accurate controls, etc, the bird seemed to have a mind of its own.
2 thumbs up for the guys at Horizon. And if you need other heli parts, etc, the guys over at HeliDirect have treated me like a King on warranty issues and finding ways to ship things FAST!!
Cheers, and happy flying!
