RE: How does Redcat sell their stuff at lower prices?
it is all in the hands of the driver. You don't need all the carbon fiber, aluminum upgrades, top end electronics, or the $530.000 V-Spec engine to get into a D, C, B or A main.
Take a look at the D8 for example, the price jumped up a bit after earning a IFMAR title with it.
Keep in mind that the higher dollar manufactuers do a LOTof R&D. They are frequently releasing updated versions since they mainly focus on racing. On top of that, they also have drivers they have to pay for.
The XTR lineup has plenty of tuning options that you can tinker with to get your car to perform better on the track. There are also hopups that can help you obtain a better setup, and a better performing vehicle on the track. Shock towers are one example. They are stout vehicles, just be happy they came with a SHengine and not a vertex engine. i've got one from when these were prototypes years ago, that engine is horrible... by all means it IS a throw away engine, even the factory that made the engine admitted there was a problem with the engine lol. I'm just waiting to convert my "monsoon xtr" to brushless now.
