Nothing wrong with carbon fiber. That was a sarcastic post because some people think that you can achieve the same results such as stiffness, strength etc...with fiberglass instead of using carbon fiber. Granted you can....eventually, but your part will be heavy and thick from all the layers of cloth whereas if you use carbon fiber it will be lighter.
