A pvc type cost a few $$$ and should last a long time..... Just cut and glued as long as we get the correct diameter of pipe...... Has anybody done that for large scale cars?
No, nobody has because it would be too slippy (although I remember looker (bob from LSRC) had done something like that, to make it like driving on ice... but anyway), my point is that it's not necessary. Our gas engines have more than enough torque to break regular tires free at almost any speed. No need to consider pvc, just get the cheapest hard compound tires you can find and you'll be golden.
Absolutely NONE of the 1/10th 'tire' tricks applies to 1/5th, the power curves are wildly different.
