Here is a photo of the two different R6014FS internals, the one on the right is a dotted version, notice the four larger integrated circuits compared to the photo on the left; I believe these are the final output drivers for the servos, the non dotted version has lower drive levels, which seem to be fine with Futaba servos. However the non dotted version will not drive Hi-Tec digital servos or other ancillary devices live valves , sequencers etc. due to the lower servo drive levels.
As you can see by the photos, there would be no way to upgrade a non dotted receiver other than replacing the main P.C. board assembly.

I did run someoutput testing on the "Dotted version" and the levels look good for ruinning the Hi-Tec digital servos

I did find an interesting accessory on the Orbit Web site made for the non dotted R6014FS receivers, It is a plug in line amplifier made to boost the servo output to "Normal" Levels.
I e-mailed them to ask if these were available in the US...I did not receive any response. If anyone knows where these can be purchased in the US please let me know.

p.s. click on the "proiducts" and you will find the link to the amplifier under the RC Electronics tab
