Measure for battery voltage at ANY of the servo locations on the RX. You should see the full battery voltage there. Obviously be careful not to short out the RX with your probes. An even safer method would be to plug in a Volt-Watch device. At least this way you would know you are getting power into the RX under load. Now you are only guessing.
