RE: The addiction?
The other day I was at the field for the first time all summer, constant rain, and I maidened my new plane. This is the first one I have built so I was so nervous I was shaking. I hadn't flown in months and was having trouble getting my motor to run correctly. I was by myself at the field and was kind of glad for that actually. I finally got the engine running and flew 7 times. First 4 were deadsticks on go arounds. Landed all safely. After that I was thinking, why in the world am I in this hobby, it causes hours of frustration and makes me mad half of the time. Then I noticed the problem with the engine. No gasket on exhaust for whatever reason. Flew again and as soon as I landed->What a hobby I need another plane, when can I fly again, what can I do when its raining, how many flights can I get in before dark. lol
This hobby has its up and down moments but all it takes is one good flight to keep you coming back for more.
