Here is a short vedio of how I find Top Dead Center and time a ignition at 28deg

I was a little stupid at one point and plugged the battery up wrong

The way the video show for finding top dead center will work on most engines but the timing could be different for different ignitions.

The 28 deg timing methord will not work for DA, 3W, ZDZ and some of the others that the timing is set for around 3-5 mm before top dead center.
