I've been seriously pondering this idea with the Bird of Time as the platform. The glider is perfect for smooth vibration free video. If the camera is mounted in the fuse where the pilot sits it would face forward but have to shoot through the smoked/tinted canopy of the glider, not good. Also the shot would be straight out not angle slightly down for the terrain. It wouldn't be possible to make a hole in the bottom front of the glider for the video to shoot through because of where the servo and receiver are. My other idea is making a flying box with wheels that would attach to the bottom of the front, hold the camera, and use for landing. I made a quick sketch to give you the idea of what I was thing. I would make it much more smooth than just square side for less drag.
Another idea would be vacuum forming a new canopy, clear, that would also be taller so the camera would sit up higher and be protected from the oils from the host plane.
