RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!

My approach is very much less involved. Having seen the WEBBIE, and the rotational lens : a very simple horizontal platform, attached to the fuse where the canopy position is; a thin bed of foam (no vibes!) and the camcorder attached ON TOP, out and up in the breeze. LENS rotated (maybe 45deg. down, no canopy , just plain
out in the air; should give me one un-impeded view of the world below, from t/off all the way to landing.
OIL from the exhaust is no factor at all : the Glider sits EXACTLY 7inches above the head of the engine whose exhaust is further pointed down and away from the nose of the glider where the WEBBIE rides. Air movement all by itself keeps the camera clean and safe flowing back and away down under. Also consider the neoprene exhaust extension which carries the oil further away. The only oil residue that appears is always on the right horizontal stab, mostly below.
Just now took some ESTIMATED angles ; the LENS sits about 6 inches above the ARC of the spinning propeller ( cut down by 1 inch with the 3 blades prop)
this in turn allows a clearview to the horizon with about 15degrees angled down from the horizontal line stretched from the camera to the infinite point.
I am thinking here, of the possible blur caused by shooting film through the prop. which in this case I believe will not happen at all.
Weight ( and weight and balance) should also not factor in ; MAYBE interfering with the smooth airflow around the nose could have some bad effect, but I think that 3 meters worth of wing, with a chord almost a foot wide, upturned double dihedral wingtips, and eliptical wing tips should be correcting for the almost negligible streamlining interference.
In any case, the whole package remains UnExplored still. Tests should begin soon as Isolve ONE last but serious problematic connection that involves the RELEASE of the glider itself.
there will be reports, which I hope will INTEREST y'all........( Maybe all this should be posted in a different thread, but y'all are almost FAMILY by now)
bye' RICK
JIM W thanks for your positive comment ... to me , this is one interesting project, and getting more so each day with something new added (WEBBIE!)</p>
