I was interested in that ELMOD system for my Tamiya King Tiger but read a lot of comments about problems with the new Blaster III board and poor battery life. Someone stated that a 4000maH battery pack would only give you about 20 minutes run time, which I find to be unacceptable for my proposed use (IR Battles). Another was that they wished the Blaster II was still available as it had less problems. Poor customer support from the producer ofELMOD inGermany was another complaint.Poor instructions for installation (unless youcan read German well). Speed 400 motors damaging the EL MOD control board. Having to ship malfunctioning boards back and forth to Germany and still having issues afterwards with getting the units working correctly, etc.
It didn't sound promising at all.. Anycomments from you about all this, Blitzkrieg65?

But I too do IR battles and if you could have made it to the SCAT battle you would have seen about 4 EL MOD tanks there battling without a problem! I do use a 4600 mah, Duratrax battery in my EL MOD and I get about 2 hours out of it!
Also the new system has a computer interface called "the Configurator" that makes it many of the functions adjustable including multiple recoils systems and the timing you want out of those systems!
