Hey Jim I was born and raised in San Antonio. Graduated from St Gerard’s High in 1966 and after the Army I moved out here to So. Cal. but I do go back there every Christmas if I can. Were do you fly out there. I tried (not really to hard) to find a place there to fly. I haven't been driving out there anymore so I don't have anything to fly at a field anyway. I just wanted to hook up with some fellow RC’ers, just to hang out and BS about planes and things. To bad Central Hobbies closed I liked going in there and talking to the old man. He had an old yellow Bryon Staggerwing there that I really liked. He said one day some guy he didn’t know walked in and asked if he want to buy it. He wouldn’t tell me how much he paid but the guy needed some money so he gotit for a song and dance. I tried buying it from him one time and this is what the he told me. He said if there was a fire there he would grab that plane and leave his wife behind so… His son lives out here and he told me that he keep a lot of those special planes.
Anyway it nice to know there is a few people that appreciate a good plane and the Corby is one!
