Probably for the same reason your friend tried it, JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT

. This is the FlyEagle 1/5.5 I'm setting up. They have their model set up with standard ailerons and elevator. No setup for tailerons. So I just figured I try something different with this fancy 14MZ radio I bought. I saw some pictures of a full scale F-16 in high alpha flight with flaps partially down, just thought it might be neat to duplicate. It'd make a great photo!
