RE: PzKpfw IV Ausf D (Back Dated)

At this point my plan is to try and have the Pz III, the Pz IV, and the Sherman all completed in time for the start up of battle season in October. The Pz III should be straight forward enough I hope. As I've said so many times, I always try to learn something new on each project. The "new thing" on that one will be the electronics so I plan on leaving everything else mostly stock. Well I think I'll try to totally rock the paint job and weathering as well. I'm planning something a little unique so we'll just have to wait and see I guess.
As far as the Tamiya electronics go, I simply never paid attention, and truthfully didn't realize there was different versions of the DMD. I thought the MFU changed with each model but that the DMD was the same. But then again I never claimed to be knowledgeable about these things, plus I've only built one Tamiya tank (my T1) straight out of the box, well the Sherman too but I haven't gotten to the electronics on that one yet.
I think mentioned before that I acquired those electronics a few years ago, sight unseen, from an Estate sale in Canada. In the same purchase there was another tank as well that went to another DAK member. I e-mailed him and fortunately we just got the two sets mixed. I have the Tiger MFU and Pershing DMD, and he ended up with the Pershing MFU and the Tiger DMD. We'll be making the switch in the next couple of days so we both end up with compatible matched sets.
As far as your KT, I say go for it! Do it and the KV. But if you don't choose to do that you are more than welcome to take a shot driving the Pz III in October!
