Default RE: ENGINE SEALANT

Supertib:

On page 2 you say:

"As i say i am going to buy a tube of copper RTV and do a test ... "

On page 3 you say:

"A test is underway...copper RTV is setting up on wax paper right now, ... "

On page 4 you say:

"I currently do not have any RTV here, I don't use RTV and I have no reason to own any ..."

Your credibility is dropping due to these contradictory statements.

Now, take a second and read this thread:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8842624/tm.htm

and ask yourself, "Am I becoming a Type 2 person?"

Reality check:

1/ Total immersion in any chemical for extended periods of time is not a pertinent test.

2/ Filling cranks has nothing to do with engine sealing.

Conclusion for me:

1/ I wish I knew as much about modding nitro engines as you do

2/ I believe everything you say about sealants, however I will continue to use locally available RTV because it works sufficently well for me.

ps: I can understand Tib's frustration. I tried to help a guy on this forum with tuning once. I told him his HSN was too lean. Every body else told him his LSN was too lean. Despite everything I tried, he listened to the others. Sure enough, a week later he had a new post complaining about burning out glowplugs. The difference however, is that I learned from that. Let it go my Manitoban friend, you're sinking fast, and it has nothing to do about wether you are right or not. What it will do is make simliar threads a more common occurance and it will only cause more and more trouble.
