I think you all that are attacking supertib are the arrogant ones, thinking you are correct over what an expert says.(expert?) If a pro mechanic on a drag racing team tells you that you should assemble an engine in a certain way for a certain application, you would listen to them.(no actually i wouldnt-if i had a 71 pinto, he would have no idea) You wouldn't just start accusing them of being wrong on a forum. (i never said he was wrong, i just asked him to support his claim)
I swear you guys could piss off the Pope.(good) I mean honestly, if you don't believe an expert, don't argue with them, just drop it, be mature about it. I would not be surprised if all of you arguing with supertib are teenagers who get everything handed to them and get your way all the time and if someone tells you different you throw a fit. (thats funny, i was thinking the same thing about you)
Supertib knows more than you about engine modification and what works for sealing and what doesn't, and he knows more than me about engine modification and what works for sealing and what doesn't, so why don't you accept the truth that nitro fuel can eat silicone sealant.(because i want him to prove it) And don't give me that crap about ''then wouldn't it eat fuel line?'', well there is a very big difference between sealant and fuel line. (so explain it to me- becha you wont)
listen boy..you say you never accused me of being wrong and only asked me for proof
well here is your first reply to my staement of RTV not being fuel proof :
youve got it backwards- why dont the fuel lines melt then? gas eats silicone. ive sealed my surefire.32 with permatex sensor safe blue rtv silicone gasket maker for over five years....
you didn't ask for proof, you just told me I was wrong.... you don't even remember your own post LOL !
