Default RE: motor help

Dynamites are SH's - like Machs and LRP's.. I personally believe a Mach 427 is an awesome engine for truggy-racing... 10+ minutes of run-time, and good power.. - nice mix between the pros of 21s and 28s, without the con of massive fuel consumption like with the 28, or a weak bottom end like with 21's.. I do get pulled down the straights by the high end 21's, but well, those 21's cost THREE times as much as my Mach.. I'll give up 2 meters on the back straight at those prices..

If you're racing and on a budget, here's your list:

1.) Jammin JPX 21 from Amain for $200ish. Picco-based, one of the most powerful 21's available. Could be a PIA to tune if you're unlucky... I recently saw a Picco Evo 2 (identical to the Jammin..)on the track and was blown away.. MONSTER powerful, INSANE top end.. I told the guy how impressed I was, and he was like yeah, it's his backup engine, and it's normally a PIA to tune, and he didn't know why it was running so well that day... It was eye-bulging cool to watch though... I have a Nosram 21RR which is also identical, and it's great. Pretty easy to tune, good run time, etc.. Like it a lot.

2.) Go 21 5-port. Good reliable cheap 21 race engine. I have a Caster Grenade 21 - which is a slightly modded Go 21 5-port. Good power, cheap, easy to tune. Solid choice IMO. Lots of other happy guys out there with Casters and Go 5-ports.

3.) Mach 427. See above. Ran my last race with one. Should've run a smaller spur - pretty sure I woulda' kept up more on the straights with those expensive 21's.. I run Machs in MT, truggy, buggy, etc.. - bashing, racing, whatever... All around great engines for whatever you want to do...

4.) I hear very good things about that Dynamite 21. Might be soft on the bottom if your truggy is heavy-ish..

5.) Look up the 7-port Werks at amain. Also a good deal. It's a 7-port Sirio, and they SCREAM... LOTS an LOTS of good reviews...

After those you start going up in price...
