Bob,, I used 40% expo but on my radio expo only is active in high rate. So I could not use expo until after I reset the throws. Then I flew the 2nd flight with HI rate (the low initial flight settings / also the low rate in the manual). The expo did make a difference and made it smoother in the neutral position. The winds were 20 mph and I was being bounced around while the other folks were packing it in for the day. My landing was long and smooth but "not my typical landing". The plane stayed down when I pulled up elev to keep the tail down in the high winds.

I am thinking I might be a bit nose heavy at the 4" cg reco in the manual. I normally fly my planes tail heavy so they will flat spin better. But the 4" is a good start point.
