I am not familiar with your transmitter but I do own the DX-7 and I've bound several AR6100e receivers to it.

What I normally do is install the bind pug then just use a spare nicad connected to another channel for power. Then hold down the DX-7 bind button, turn on the transmitter and wait for it to bind. Never had an issue doing it that way.
