Calling British 3D Pilots
I'm juyst on building a 3styla kit now and yeh i agree the back end is nasty, while the elavtors are fantastic, the rudder looks awful...... i'm gonna try addign colour to it firs,t i think that's the main problem, but on my kit one i may change it to a more hypey shape fin.
Well done on your defiantions.
Did anyone note the term that I used ?
F3A / 3D hybrid ???? goes for all the flip, hype, 3styla, capiche.. everything, whether it have a funfly or standard type wing.
F3A by definition seems to be power aerobatics.... jsut seems that F3A competitions are pattern aeros and that makes people think that any f3a capable plane has to be extremely smooth. No, really it should just be able to do fairly quick snaps (OK, funfly wings aren't ideal, but most will just about snap.. apart from the hype!) it should be able to fly inverted with ease, knife edge pretty straight, hold whatever pitch is inputted etc..... they all do it, it's a sacrifice though... 3d movements and surface sizes / shapes tent to reduce any possibilty of smooth f3a stuff.
that clear enough??
Forgot to mention, on my 3styla im using a hype cowl (cuz the original extreme lite cowl is too big by far) and I may even use the hype canopy.
Also gonna put stripes on the u/s if i get chance.
Gonna use spats too to make it look a tad sweeter, and i might move the u/c forward. Purely for looks..... still looks better than the avg funfly anyway! and who cares what a plane looks like, it flies 3d like nothing else i've tried in that size!
