Looks like one of the early Blue Angel variants. There is one similar to it posted on one of the pages of my Blue Angle thread. I’d be very careful how you go about the cleaning of the balsa. As you well know dampness and balsa do not mix, so you might just try light sanding all over to remove the dark color of the balsa. Great buy!!
