Agreed, I'd just rather pay $40 for a good pump instead of $15, and be done with it for a while. But the reality is that demand drives supply, so if the majority of what you see is out there is low cost (read cheap) items, that's because the majority of buyers demand lower cost items. Higher quality items at premium prices then become niche products that you have to look for.

Either way, I'll get another one as a spare and keep it in my field box. Apparently I'll be needing one sooner than later .
