Default RE: Catamaran single or twin drives?

A few things here.
If in doubt on the run times suggested then read post #14.....then ask the owner. Kevin is a nice guy and will answer questions.

If you are to run a big cat that is 36"+ then you need a lot of power to go fast.
Power costs $$
Single or twins is the owners / builders call. Twins will cost a little more, there are advantages to twins.

For pure speed the arguement will run for a long time as there are a couple of German fellows that have cleared 200km/h with twin powered cats.

Your boat and your call !
Single or twin ?
Target speed ?
Saw or oval ?
Race or fun ?

These are a few of the considerations that need to be made when entering a project like large fast cats.
I have done a lot of reading and know enough to know that I am not ready yet.

I'll stick to S-motors in my small fleet for now !!
