Engine preservation
I have a few engines that are no longer in production. Some of them have been run, some of them are NIB. I plan to run most of them again in the future, but it may not be for quite some time. A few of them may sit for several years before they get mounted. I want to preserve them somehow to inhibit corrosion. I'm thinking about placing them in plastic coffee cans filled with either motor oil or automatic transmission fluid.
Has anybody done this before?
Anybody have a better recomendation?
