The spruce was too heavy behind the cg. I tend to build a little heavy, and I didn't think the 1/4" balsa stringers were strong enough. Actually, they probably are, since they are "threaded" on completion with 50# fishing line which gives it a much stronger fuselage. Wingspan is appx 58". I'll try to post some pics - hope this works.
