Default RE: LPM/ESC Question (CPv3)

ORIGINAL: Bashalot

I seem to have blown my LPM (when i bypass it i can get the rotors to turn, if not, nothing).
Your battery might be low. The LPM will cut power to the motor if the battery gets low.

Do ESCs have Lipo protection built in or will i still need the LPM that came with the three in one.
Most have protection built in. You can either use this, but only if it slowly cuts the motor and doesn't immediately stop, OR just use a timer and only use 80% of the capacity of the battery and turn off the protection.

i only need the receiver (no 3in1) with this setup right?
Right. However, you will need a second ESC to run the tail motor from the gyro. Be sure and disconnect the red wire from this ESC to eliminate the BEC (battery eliminator circuit)
