MDK the only other frame you can get is a carbon one mate and its super expensive and is heavier then the stock one. Normally you use your stock frame and the custom booms mount right on the back no worries

It weighs 18.4g which is about 8g more than the stock frame, due to the aluminum guide for the shafts and the other aluminum part where you fix the servos with. It is indeed pretty expensive, but its also far more rigid - plus you can use different (better ?!?!) Servos, as it is adjustable to servo size. They sell it with better outer shaft bearings than the stock ones and all this little stuff adds up.
Oh and btw, I made my landing skids myself (the ones I use with the carbon frame ... but they also weigh a lot more than stock parts. The best landing skids (if you want to stay light) in my eyes are the ultra flexible landing skids from boomtownhobbies.com (6.99$). They look exacktly like the original ones, but the won't break. I broke the battery holder twice since I use the, but no more skids. Here is a little video:
