RE: Look what I did today! Hyper 7 project
So I took it on it's first run just now since resurrecting it. Mind you I have only run the first tank through the brand new Hyper .21 Turbo engine, and it is still rich, but let me tell you all something... the power is phenominal, and I found it VERY hard not to WOT this sucker. The Hyper 7 drives like it is on rails, I only flipper over one time in the street and that is cause I was pushing a corner tooo hard and knew it... OOPS, MY BAD!!!
I now know why have always heard good things about the Hyper engines... at half throttle this thing was only begging for more, but as I am disciplined and all (well sorta) I went easy on it, and will continue to do so through the next 4-5 tanks. I also have a bit of fine tuning to do as far as camber and toe go, as I have noticed that on my left front tire the inside tread has been completely worn off (crimefighters + asphalt = baldness quick) which is ok, as these were the beat old tires that came qith it originally, so I figure WTH let em get chewed up , at least I have a baseline for knowing just how far off things are, so time to get out my digital micrometer calipers, camber, and ride height gauge and tune my suspension up...
anyone out there have any suggestions for the best baseline settings for ride height, camber, droop, etc. I want to get this dialed in for track practice sunday, and since I am new to the hyper 7 anyones input would be appreciated!!!
