I was referring to the gelcoat that's already on your boat, not adding more because it's a good base. If you have primer already, just use a body filler and prep like you would a car.

If you STILL think you need gelcoat, which you do not, you need to use the right kind. Feel free to call me and I'll explain more. Too much to type here.
