JJ-3000 Update:
Got her sorted now - gently took the JJ-3000 up to 80k RPM today - it started pushing the 'test stand' with half a bag of sand on it, so I had to back it off. That, and the fact that my 360ml 'fuel bottle' drains pretty quickly.
But, man oh man, that thing is totally awesome. The high-pitched compressor whine is one thing, but the ROAR from the exhaust is something again. To see something 300mm long by 110mm diam punch that amount of power is mind-blowing. Then again, I guess the way it drinks the Kero gives one some idea of how much energy is being converted.
One VERY pleased JJ customer here - with a smile from one ear to the other.
Now, it's time to save up for its matching partner...

PS - Yes Xwingnut - most important to 'twist the Glowplug wires like a rope'. In fact, I twisted all my high-current leads (Glowplug, Starter, Fuel Pump) together after some sound advice from one of our Dealers down here in Oz. Something else I did on Bretts advice was to buy a Servo Extension lead for the RPM sensor to keep the lead as far as possible from anything else, as well as re-route my Glowplug wire down the OTHER side of the Turbrine. Now, if I could just figure out how to attach a pic of my working setup, I would...
