Hey, Nitro-napalm. You can also check your clutch shoes to make sure they're grabbing. While you're at it, clean and scuff the inside of the bell, and file off any burrs on the shoes (if there are any). Also check the stuff hpidude told you. My MT2 is down too. I busted a connecting rod, but have a .18 Outlaw engine coming. I can't wait. In the meantime I'm running my Savage and my Schumacher XT3.
Lots of electric choices. It kinda depends on what your looking for, ie. scale, type (monster, stadium, buggy, crawler, road) 4wd or 2wd. If you want to play inside, I'd go with a tiny scale like a micro-t or something along that line. I've found that unless you have a huge house 1/18th scale or larger is just too big, unless you're crawling (which is fun).
