That would be all good and fine JR but who is going to pay for it? some people like myself arent very rich we are getting by so we scratch build from wood where we can buy a little at a time. When you are talking stronger lighter airframes you are talking composites and by talking composite airframes you are talking plopping down 500-1000 bucks all at once which I would bet a good portion of the members interested in the larger planes are in the same boat as me and could not afford it. not to mention that is probably a low guess on costs as there would be research and development fees added to that not to mention the costs involved in the production. Not everyone in this hobby makes 100,000 or more a year heck i bet half are lucky to hit 50 with spouses combined. The rule that if you dont have 1000 or more to plop down at one time you dont need to be building the plane is a bunch of BS which i have seen posted on these forums many times. This is a Hobby and an enjoyment for people and as such the fianances of an individual should have no bearing on whether he should be allowed to enjoy his selected hobby or not.
